Battle-scarred Veteran rapper Pumpkinhead (born Robert Alan Diaz) has passed away suddenly from mysterious reasons at press time. The Brooklyn rapper was a staple in the N.Y. battle rap scene and become known as a noteworthy talent in the late 90’s. He grew up in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn, New York with his mom and younger sister. Pumpkinhead's breakout single was 1997's "Dynamic," which became a staple of mixtapes in the late 1990s.
He awed fans with guest verses on Immortal Technique’s 2001 debut album Revolutionary 1 and 2003's Revolutionary 2, and Jean Grae’s Bootleg Of A Bootleg EP in 2003. In 2005 he released his official debut, Orange Moon Over Brooklyn.
